Professor Md. Ansar Ali

Independent Director & Chairman of the Audit Committee

Professor Md. Ansar Ali was born in 1949 in a respectable Muslim family. He earned his BA (Hons) and Master’s in Economics from Rajshahi University in 1971 and 1972 respectively. He began his career as a Lecturer in Economics at B.M. College, Barisal, and later served at several institutions including Rajshahi Colleges, Rajshahi City Government College, and Govt. Edward College.

He held important administrative positions such as Joint Director at DIA, Dhaka, Deputy Director (Vice Principal) at BMTTI, Gazipur, and Specialist (Asst. Director, Admin) at NAEM, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. At NAEM, he coordinated Educational Administration and Management Training courses for heads of educational institutions (colleges, schools, and madrashas). He has a number of publications on various topics to his credit.

Professor Md. Ansar Ali retired in 2006 as Joint Director, Directorate of Inspection and Audit, Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Meghna Life Insurance PLC, contributing his extensive experience in education and administration to the company’s governance.
